How You Can Fight Climate Anxiety
Hello hello! Hope you’re having a wonderful Friday. I’ve released another video that I’ve wanted to make for a while now all about climate anxiety. I hope that it’ll give you some clarity and tools for moving through the difficult emotions of the climate crisis. You can find the video below as well as three quotes and three links I found illuminating during my research process.
Three Quotes:
“The weight of the world isn’t yours to bear alone and no one person is responsible for global warming. Bryant says he’s encountered clients who believe, subconsciously, that it’s their job to solve the climate crisis. And when they don’t know how to do this, they feel like a failure.
— PsyCom
“ Eco-anxiety is not just for environmental destruction alone, but inextricably linked to government inaction on climate change. The young feel abandoned and betrayed by governments,”
— Caroline Hickman
“When consumers are told they are equally to blame for the climate crisis (a narrative conveniently crafted by the fossil fuel industry) but face a dearth of options for actually leading a more climate-friendly life, it’s all too easy to convince people to feel guilty merely for living.”
— The New Republic
